Forest therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to “forest bathing.” Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Join Maureen Stine, certified forest therapy guide, as she leads a gentle forest bathing walk at the William B. Derby Jr. Nature Preserve. Maureen will share various sensory invitations to promote mindfulness in nature. Come relax, recharge, renew and restore your own authentic relationship with nature.
