DESCRIPTION:Hessel School House\, in partnership with the Les Cheneaux Arts Council\, is hosting Make It On Mondays from 10-11 AM from July 11 – August 29 at the Hessel School House. Fun art projects each week with little instruction. Every week will be something different\, from painted birdhouses to pop-up cards…. and much more! Adults and adults with kids are welcome. Check it out each week for age appropriate projects. DESCRIPTION:Let’s paint with brushes\, rollers\, and our fingers! We are going to learn what happens when we mix up our colors and when we paint over crayons. You will be using acrylic paints and watercolors to create your art pieces. Instruction provided by artist Cheryl Gordon. This art class is designed for children 4-6 years of age. SUMMARY:Bim Willow Furniture Making Class
DESCRIPTION:Make a Les Cheneaux memory! Instructor Bim Willow will teach the basics of building with natural materials. Many of the designs offered are historical Americana. Completed projects will be ready to take home within the times estimated which are based on NO prior building experience! Students are required to bring a hammer (8 oz is best for willow working & 6 oz to build frame)\, and a pair of pruners. A limited supply of loppers and wire cutters will be available\, bring them if you have them. If you have your own pair of safety glasses\, please bring them. \nThis class takes place on Friday\, July 29th and Saturday\, July 30th. Each day is split into two sessions\, depending on which item you are making. Morning session is 9 AM to Noon\, and the afternoon session is 1-6 PM. Maximum 30 students in the morning sessions and 20 in the afternoon sessions. \nAll projects must be booked and paid for in advance\, no later than three days prior to the class so that the appropriate materials can be collected. No cancellations or refunds three days prior to the class. \nPlease contact us to register\, due to the variety of items that are available.
