DESCRIPTION:Rag rug making is a centuries old craft with unlimited opportunities for experimentation and self-expression. The tactile quality of simple loom weaving is particularly aesthetic and creative. In this class\, Cheryl Gordon will provide each student with a loom\, teach them how to prepare a variety of “rag” scrap fabrics for a custom weaving experience\, and teach them how to weave a beautiful and functional rug approximately 30″ x 45″ in size. DESCRIPTION:Using simple weaving techniques\, Cheryl Gordon will teach students how to create a beautiful landscape tapestry weaving approx. 18″ x 24″ in size. This weaving will use various weights of yarn to give a subtle textured appearance to the finished tapestry.
