DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, August 21 • 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nIn this class\, you will learn how to create a beautiful and functional apple basket that is approximately 5” in height and 11” in diameter. Using two weaving techniques—randing and slewing—you will have the opportunity to incorporate a decorative band on the side of your basket\, adding a unique and personalized touch to your creation. Dyed reeds will be provided for you to use\, allowing you to experiment with different colors and patterns. All supplies are included in the class fee\, so all you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm. DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays\, August 21 & 28 • 2:00 – 5:00 PM \nIn this class\, Cheryl Gordon will provide each student with a loom. They will learn how to prepare fabric strips for weaving\, how to warp the loom\, and how to do tabby weaving. Students will need to bring approximately 7 to 8 yards of cotton fabric to create a beautiful functional rug\, approximately 30” x 45” in size. Class fee includes loom and warping thread and two class sessions.
