DESCRIPTION:DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES\, THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELED.\n\nUsing your hands\, a pair of pliers and few other tools\, you will shape\, form\, twist\, and curl copper wire. Then add a few beads to the creation for a touch of sparkle to make a necklace that’s as unique as the person who will wear it. This class is intended for youth ages 10 – 18 years old. Instruction provided by jewelry maker Mary Welters.  All materials included. $15 per student. DESCRIPTION:Family Nature Program\nFAMILY-FRIENDLY! Hessel School House invites you to come and learn about owls during this hands-on interactive\, educational experience. Examine an owl up close and listen to owl calls to see which ones may be living in your back yard. Owl pellets provide a real “hands-on” study about what owls eat and how different their eating is from other animals. The class concludes with a family art project to take home. Family affordable at just $5.00 per person to help cover materials. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required to attend.  \nThe “Family Nature Program” is a new series offered the last Saturday of the month. Each month will feature a new topic. DESCRIPTION:NEW FOR 2023! You’ve made a resolution to exercise your body and stay in shape\, but what about your mind? Clear your head and open your mind to a fun experience in short-form creative writing the last Sunday of each month. Release your inner critic and follow your inspiration. Nothing to bring but pen\, paper and who you really are. \nSimple writing prompts will ignite your imagination and get your creative juices flowing. Then you will follow your own creative instincts in this short form creative writing exercise that takes approximately 1 hour from start to finish. There will be no teaching or critiquing. This is just writing for your own enjoyment. Each meeting is a new adventure and you will be amazed to see the multitude of perspectives that all began with the same pebble of inspiration. \nWriters of all skill levels are welcome\, whether you’re a published author or just a beginner. \nThere is no fee to attend\, but please register online so we can plan accordingly.
