You will be using acrylic paints and watercolors to create your art pieces. Instruction provided by artist Cheryl Gordon. This art class is designed for children 4-6 years of age. DESCRIPTION:The Alex Thomas and Friends Puppet Show is coming to Hessel School House! Youngsters will be entertained by jokes\, prizes\, stories\, silliness\, and all around fun. Audience members are asked to play along and become a part of the act. These zany Muppet-style puppets bring your imagination to life. Be sure to stay for our “Meet and Greet” session after every show for your chance to meet the characters. You won’t want to miss it. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nChildren 12 and under are FREE. 13 and up are $10 each. Tickets available at the door. No preregistration required. \nThis presentation is supported in part by an award from Michigan Arts & Culture Council and National Endowment for the Arts.

SUMMARY:Holiday Art Tour 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hessel School House and the Avery Arts & Nature Learning Center will be one location for the Holiday Art Tour on Saturday\, December 14\, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Photographer Carl TerHaar will be here from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to discuss his work with the public\, and his work will be on display all day. Dressed in festive costume\, Pat Wilson will be demonstrating the art of the spinning wheel\, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Mary Welter will display hand-crafted jewelry and Christmas tree ornaments\, Paul Rossi’s nature photography will be on display\, and Mr. Rossi will be present to discuss his work from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We will have a craft table for children to make take-home ornaments\, while supplies last.

DESCRIPTION:A Halloween carnival for Clark Township children will take place at Hessel School House Saturday\, October 26\, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Preschool through Grade Five students are encouraged attend. Games\, candy\, and prizes will be offered. Costumes are encouraged.
