DESCRIPTION:Pysanky Egg Decorating \nTHIS CLASS WAS CANCELLED DUE TO ICY WEATHER. The class has been rescheduled for Saturday\, April 26. Once scheduled attendees have been contacted the class will be open for new registrations if available. \nThis Ukrainian egg decorating class is an annual favorite at Hessel School House. Known as pysanky\, these beautiful and intricately patterned eggs are decorated using the wax-resist (batik) method creating stunning motifs. Come learn this traditional art form with artist Bette Smith. All materials and step-by-step instruction is provided. Participants are asked to bring 3 farm fresh eggs and a dish towel from home. Kits are not included\, but a materials list will be provided by the instructor for those that wish to create additional eggs on their own at home. Class Fee: $35. Help us freshen up the School House by dusting and washing windows\, tidying up classrooms\, spreading wood chips along the Storybook Trail\, maintaining the pollinator garden\, setting out patio furniture\, and more. \nIt’s a great way to give back\, connect with neighbors\, and lend a hand in a place that brings joy to so many.
