Volunteers help make the magic happen at Hessel School House. A variety of jobs are available, whether you can spare an hour, a day, or more!
Front Desk Assistance
Do you love customer service? Our front desk welcomes guests, answers questions, and answers the phone. Set your own schedule! Weekly volunteers are always needed.
Events
Do you like to throw a good party? Help set up, greet and check in guests, sell tickets, decorate? There are lots of elements that you can help with to make a good party a great one. Even our smaller events need a gracious host to set-up, prepare food or coffee service, and greet guests as they arrive for a lecture.
Handyman Crew
Are you a handy man or woman? Do you want to put your skills to good work? We always need help maintaining our beautiful historic building, assisting with landscaping, tending to our garden, brushing the storybook trail. How about building games for a carnival or special event or creating a piece of furniture to serve as a display case? The list for this category is long, and many skilled hands make light work for our staff and contribute much to the schoolhouse.
